Boxe Legend · effective date: 6 August 2026
Boxe Legend collects no personally identifiable data. Your training stats (rounds completed, cumulative fight time, consecutive-day streak) stay on your phone. What leaves the device is limited to three things: your iCloud and your Health app — two Apple services we have no access to — and anonymous usage measurement, described below.
To learn where the app is useful and where it gets in the way, we measure anonymous usage events through PostHog, hosted in the European Union. Concretely: which screens are opened, when a locked feature is tapped, and whether a purchase is started, completed or failed — along with its price and currency.
What travels with those events: a random identifier generated by the app on your device, the app version and the OS version. No advertising identifier, no email, no name, no account. This data is never combined with data from other apps or from data brokers — which is why the app never asks for iOS tracking permission: it does not track.
Your training is not part of it. Sessions, rounds, fight time, streaks, belts and boxer profile are never transmitted: they stay in the database on your phone.
So that your history, belts and streak survive a change of phone, the app copies your finished sessions into your Apple account's iCloud storage (iCloud's key-value store). What is copied: the date of each session, the number of rounds, the fight time, the mode you chose, the combos that were called and your self-ratings. Nothing else.
That storage belongs to your Apple account: we cannot read it, cannot access it, and cannot even know it exists. No name, e-mail address or account identifier is associated with it on our side. With no active iCloud account on the device the app behaves identically and everything stays local. You can turn the backup off at any time in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud, and delete it by removing Boxe Legend from the apps using iCloud. Your device settings (coach voice, reminders) are not synced.
If — and only if — you turn it on in the Profile tab, each finished session is saved as a boxing workout in the Health app, with its date, start time and duration. This is a one-way write: the app requests no read permission and reads nothing from your health record — no weight, no heart rate, nothing. No health data is transmitted to us, stored anywhere else, or used for advertising. Turning the switch off stops the writing; workouts already saved remain in Health, where you can delete them yourself.
Unlocking the “Champion Pass” (a single one-time, non-consumable purchase — there is no subscription) is processed by Apple through the App Store and by our in-app purchase provider, RevenueCat. To validate your purchase, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-generated user id and your purchase receipt (no name, no e-mail address, no contact details and no payment method are passed to us — all of that stays with Apple). This information is used solely to unlock the paid features; it is never sold and never used for advertising.
The app collects no personally identifiable data and is suitable for all ages.
The app is published by an individual developer, Aurélien Roblin, based in France, and the GDPR applies. It gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. In practice, because we hold no personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to access, export, rectify or erase on our side. Deleting the app erases all local data (stats, settings) from your device. If the iCloud backup was used, a copy of your history remains in your own iCloud storage: remove it from iOS Settings → your name → iCloud. Workouts written to Health are deleted from the Health app.
